This little girl's angry face made Tesco take down 'boys' toys' signs in stores

Maggie is seven and she doesn’t think superheroes are just for boys. So there.

THIS IS MAGGIE. She’s seven years of age, and she loves superheroes.

So she didn’t love this sign in her local Tesco in Dorset, which said this Marvel-themed alarm clock was a ‘fun gift’ for a boy.

Her mother Karen tweeted this photo of her scowling at the sign over the weekend, and it has since gone massively viral, causing Tesco to remove the signs from their stores completely.

Speaking to Buzzfeed, Karen said: “…[she] pointed it out to me by indignantly saying something like, “Well, that’s wrong! Anybody can like superheroes, they’re being stupid aren’t they?”

Tesco agreed that the alarm clock could indeed be a gift for either boys or girls, and said that the signs in question have been removed from all their stores.

Karen said that Maggie has begun to notice signs like these more and more since she has gotten better at reading:

Fortunately it doesn’t seem to put her off – as well as superheroes she loves Doctor Who, Minecraft, dragons, skeletons and zombies, but also likes Frozen, princesses, kittens, etc. She just thinks shops labelling toys for boys or girls is silly: “I can like what I want”.

She sure knows how to get stuff done. Go Maggie!

All love letters should be as to-the-point adorable as this little boy’s>

You can now place a bet on whether Ryan Tubridy will make a child cry on the Toy Show>
